A Day at the Races - Cowes Week The last, and most elemental, event of "The Season" is Cowes Week. Founded in 1826, Cowes Week is the first week in August and has over 900 competing boats. Over a century old, the premier sailing event in Britain, and for some, Europe, is one of the finest corporate entertainment opportunities. Lady Daphne’s "Day at the Races" is the best way to participate at Cowes (aside from racing your own sailing vessel) – see the races, feel the excitement, break for lunch and a swim, and conclude with a sail of your own. The suggested programme is: 09:15 – 10:00 Meet at Southampton
10:00 - 13:00 Sailing and the Start Line 13:00 – 15:00 Anchored near the Finish Line 15:00 - 17:30 Sail to Southampton 17:30 – 19:30 Reception on board Lady Daphne When corporate entertainment needs to be memorable – a day at the Cowes Week races fits the bill. With notice, we have also provided guests with racing programmes, local maps, explanations of the intricacies of yacht racing and live on-board racing commentary. Lady Daphne at Cowes provides a vivid setting for getting your message across to clients, prospective clients and influencers who matter.
